The Virtuous Mom

Many people refer to Proverbs 31 as “The Virtuous Woman” or “The Virtuous Wife,” but another fitting title could be “The Virtuous Mom.”

Proverbs 31 begins with the following statement, “The words of King Lemuel, the utterance which his mother taught him.”

In other words, the wisdom found in this passage was passed down from a mother to her son—a future king.

What a powerful reminder of the influence a mother has.

To all moms, never underestimate the impact you have on your children.

Your love, instruction, sacrifice, encouragement, wisdom, and faithfulness matter more than you know.

You are one of God’s greatest gifts to your children.

And never forget: even Jesus had a mother.

Motherhood is a beautiful and meaningful calling.

Thank you for all you have done, and for all you continue to do.
